Javits Center WiFi & Internet Rental
The Jacob K. Javits Convention Center anchors Manhattan’s Far West Side with roughly 1.8 million square feet under its glass curtain wall roof — one of the largest exhibition venues on the East Coast, running eleven blocks between 34th and 40th Street along the Hudson. When the New York International Auto Show rolls through every spring, or New York Comic Con takes over every October, tens of thousands of attendees pack the halls at once, all reaching for a signal in the same few minutes.
That’s the part nobody plans for until show day. Midtown and the Far West Side already run some of the most congested cellular grids in the country, and Javits adds tens of thousands of phones, tablets, POS terminals, and streaming booths into a building wrapped in reflective glass and steel — a shell that does the towers outside zero favors. The venue’s own WiFi gets rationed and billed per device, per day, and it tends to buckle exactly when your booth needs it most: mid-demo, mid-swipe, or mid-call with a buyer who isn’t going to sit through a spinning wheel.
What Sets Our Javits Center WiFi Apart
WiFiT doesn’t share a pipe with the hall next door. We build a dedicated bonded-cellular connection for your booth, combining multiple carrier networks into one steady link, so if Verizon chokes under Auto Show crowds, T-Mobile or AT&T quietly picks up the slack. For booths tucked in the far corners of the North or South halls, or setups that need connectivity independent of any single carrier tower, we bring Starlink satellite as backup or as the primary link outright. Setup usually happens same-day, and every connection is yours alone — encrypted and isolated from the thousands of other devices fighting for bandwidth around you.

FAQ
How reliable is WiFiT's internet for a booth on the Javits Center show floor?
Very — because your connection isn’t shared with the exhibitor next to you. WiFiT sets up a dedicated bonded-cellular unit at your booth that pulls from multiple carrier networks at once, so if one tower gets overloaded during peak Auto Show foot traffic, the connection just routes around it. You’re not competing with 50,000 other people’s phones for the same slice of bandwidth.
Javits Center is enormous — can WiFiT actually cover a booth anywhere in the building?
Yes. At around 1.8 million square feet spread across the North, South, and Special Events halls, Javits is a genuinely tricky building to blanket with signal, especially in interior sections far from exterior windows. Since our units connect directly to cellular towers and satellite rather than routing through a single in-building access point, coverage doesn’t degrade based on how deep in the hall your booth sits.
How does WiFiT's cost compare to renting WiFi directly through Javits Center's own network?
Javits prices its in-house internet per device, per day — and that adds up fast once you count laptops, tablets, POS terminals, and demo screens at a single booth. WiFiT quotes one flat rate for the whole booth’s connectivity for the length of the show, regardless of how many devices you plug in, which usually comes out well below what the venue charges for a comparable multi-device setup.
How far ahead should we book, and how fast can WiFiT actually get set up on-site at Javits?
Setup itself typically takes under an hour once our team is on the floor, often same-day. That said, during marquee weeks like the Auto Show or Comic Con, equipment gets booked up across all our NYC clients, so we’d recommend locking in your rental at least one to two weeks out rather than calling the morning of load-in.
Is the connection secure enough for processing payments or handling client data on the show floor?
Yes. Unlike the venue’s shared public WiFi, your WiFiT connection is a private, encrypted network dedicated to your booth alone — nobody else on the exhibit floor is on it. That makes it suitable for card transactions, lead-capture systems, and any client data you don’t want sitting on an open network with thousands of strangers.
Why is cellular signal so unreliable inside Javits Center specifically, and how does WiFiT get around it?
Two things stack against you at once: Manhattan’s cellular grid is already dense and heavily loaded even on a normal day, and Javits’ glass-and-steel curtain wall structure interferes with signal penetration from towers outside. Add tens of thousands of attendee phones inside during a big show and individual carrier connections get overwhelmed fast. WiFiT’s bonded-cellular units aggregate signal from multiple carriers simultaneously and can add Starlink satellite into the mix.
Happy Customers
“Ran a merch booth at Comic Con last year and our card reader kept timing out on the building's WiFi — brutal on a Saturday with a line out the aisle. This year we rented the WiFiT hotspot and every transaction went through clean, even during the Sunday afternoon rush. Worth every dollar just for the peace of mind.”
“We had a live infotainment demo running on loop at our Auto Show booth and the venue WiFi dropped twice before lunch on day one. Switched to the WiFiT unit the same afternoon and didn't lose the stream again for the rest of the week. Their guy also just stuck around long enough to make sure the handoff actually worked instead of leaving us to figure it out.”
